Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan


Wat Phra Mahathat Woramahawihan (Wat Phrathat) in the provincial capital of Nakhon Si Thammarat province is a very famous temple whose oldest parts are about 1.500 years old. It contains a Buddha tooth relic. The central chedi (pagoda), a famous landmark, is 55.78 metres high. The top is entirely covered by pure gold.
